Series 3 Discovery

Hi everyone,

I'm currently the owner of a series 1 97 Disco and yes it's had some issues so we rebuilt the engine back in 08. I'm wanting to upgrade now to a series 3 Disco. We primarily use the Disco to tow our caravan. So I wondered if anyone could tell me if there are any known mechanical problems for going on and off road towing. I would really appreciate your help.

It may be helpful to ask one of the mods to move this post to the D3/D4/RRS forum so that your question may be answered a little more quickly.

......and I should have pointed out (PENDANTRY ALERT!!) that they are generally referred to as a Discovery 3, or D3. A "Series 3" would mean something a little more mature and basic (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/series-iii/) :D

But regardless, the combined brains trust will certainly be able to answer your questions on the D3
