My car has been called back to the dealer. They want to look at the tyre valves. I wonder what sort of events led to them calling in all cars from that batch?
Has anybody else been summoned?
I'm off to Margaret River tomorrow for the first long run. It hasn't been doing much since I got it as Ive been away and busy and it needs a blast. Last night it got it' first foot plant and it took off like a rocket but left a big cloud of white smoke.

I probably do have a build date somewhere but not that I'm aware of. The rims are standard 19" SE rims. No to TPMS

As to monitoring the speed limit, it's been a long while since Ive had to do that. It would be late eighties in my magnificent BRG Rover P6B. Bussell Highway 130kph. I'm not a hoon by any means, the car just kept quietly accelerating.

Hiya James
You will want to be careful heading down south with mr plod hiding everywhere. We just had a week down south and saw a few, and the d4 loves to speed. I ended up using the cruise control quite often.
It is concerning regarding tyre valves, Is it applicable to any particular VIN numbers.
As for your white smoke ours does this now and agian too. The dealers have told us its acceptable and probably related to the DPF.
Have fun on your trip.
Cheers

Recall Q239 Tyre Valve Damage.
Recall is for a certain VIN range due to a batch of faulty valves which may cause over time a slow leak. Must reiterate "May Cause"
Not all vehicles are affected, You may have 1, 2, 3 or even all 4 valves faulty. Just depends.
Have inspected probably 20 vehicles so far & have had to rectify 3 vehicles.
Cheers

Well I'm down here in Wilyabrup and I had the cruise control set at 114. Went though two traps. One hand held and one camera. About 2km apart. Tossers.
