Change to a HCPU

Hi,
I want to change to 110 defender from station wagon to a HCPU.
Is this a straight roof swap? I'm wondering if anyone knows where I could buy a ute roof I've tried a few LR wreckers but my local wouldn't let me even if I paid for the ute roof and then gave them my wagon roof :confused:? Any help/advise would be appreciated.

I think the HCPU referred to the tub on the 130's (and I think some UK spec 110s) and such which is wider than the body. Unlike the 110 Dual cab ute where its essentially just a shorter roof and different rear panel (more or less).

shouldn't be too difficult.

I'd be tempted myself if I didn't already have a 130 HCPU.



What do you mean your local wrecker wouldn't LET you buy a part....?

I used the rear bulkhead from a 130, cut and fit into the back of the 110 (a series bulkhead would work too), then used a 110 rear window (again, a series window would work) and cut my roof down.
I find the "ute" much more usable now, and it is little quieter inside.

Its not the prettiest thing, but i love it!
