Seems the prices are coming down. I found these EV Works Pty Ltd (http://www.evworks.com.au/index.php?product=BAT-LP12V90AH)
Obviously Chinese built but I was thinking two of these gives you 180AH of which 70% is usable. For my usage this would last 4-5 days and they should fit into the standard battery space under the front passenger seat in the 110. Anyone using LiFePO4 yet or have any opinions?

Your link to EV Works, has an interesting page on caring for LiFe batteries; it could get quite expensive having a battery-management-system as well; however; a 10 year life is appealing.

Do the mathematics on the cost of converting, as opposed to replacing lead-acid batteries in 10 years; for me it is still cheaper to stick with lead-acid,

Usually the multi cell batteries have their own BMS included.
Single cells linked can have a BMS incorporated into the cell link .
AFAIK the BMS is necessary to ensure equal charguing of each cell, as some cells can be more efficient than others in a linked set.
There is an OZ site that discusses all this in detail, but it is more oriented towards non auto applications.
