I am in the middle of a family shin-dig in Burrum Heads and this morning, after driving around in the 130, noticed a leak when I parked it up.
If you have a look at the attached photos, you will see that it is stemming from the drivers side of the motor, near a sensor of some sort.
I am pretty sure it is coolant, or radiator fluid.
Is this a common leak?
Would it be coming from the sensor or the rubber flange that is in place to join the two pipes?
Is it a major operation? I ask this as I will have to go into either Hervey Bay mechanic or Gympie, and if they're no good M.R. Automotive in Redcliffe.
Any assistance, comments, advice would be superb.
Cheers,
Ben

:(hi, it looks like the problem is with that hose,I would be taking it off to check its condition .It also looks as though there is no coolant in the system,td5 should be pink or at least green .Also check the condition of the 2 pipes for corrosion. You might have to emery paper them back so they are smooth. Dont forget you'll have to top up your coolant as you'll loose it ,also bleed it from the screw on the top hose.Hope this is of some help.

Much appreciated jimr1!
The fluid was of a pinkish nature, and not oily either.
I'm heading into Hervey Bay either today or tomorrow so I will hopefully pick up some more coolant. I will have a look at those parts you mentioned a little later on today once it starts to cool a little.
Cheers!

Drivers side or passengers?
Looks like little hose behind turbo,on pass side if it is TD5.
Be very careful bleeding it as if not done properly, cracked head is the outcome:(
Search on here for bleeding it correctly,Daveblknight coke bottle is the way:)
Proberly a good clean up & a genuine hose is the best outcome:)

Be very careful, td5 coolant is oat. Get the wrong coolant and the engine is rooted. Check the manual and get the right one, its hard to get.

The coolant puddle on the webbing of the block definitely looks like oat if the hose is ok I bet it's leaking past the crap factory clamp

Thanks to all of you who replied. That is the piece that is playing silly buggers with me!
There is a small crack under the neath which you can feel when you run your fingers under, and leaks when heated and runs down that side of the motor.
I looked all night last night on the web for the schematics and part numbers and the like, giving up at about 11 PM.
But, thanks to you lot I now have the part.
Cheers, fellas! And thanks again!

I had exactly the same problem a couple of weeks ago but on mine I don't have that hose just a rubber blank that had perished, I replaced with a short length of silicon hose sealed at one end with a brass bolt.

Were does the hose on yours go?

Also in your post you say it is on the drivers side, the exhaust and turbo on mine are both on the passenger side?

Cheers

Sorry mate,
It was on the passengers side. I got it way wrong in my write up! It has now been fixed and will be looked at again when I hit Mackay later in the week.
Cheers,
