Hi All,

I just posted some pics of my new 110 Ltd Edition in "show us your rides" section. This is my first Defender. First off, thanks to everybody who posted here - while waiting (6 months) for delivery, its been a joy just to read about the Defender.

I'm looking forward to making a few posts myself now. Here's the first one; while getting to know (fiddling with) the interior, I managed to remove the rear view mirror. It would not go back in easily, and I could not find much help on the web. I did put it back. The way I did it was to insert the top (brass?) tab first, then push hard up towards the roof, this allows the lower tab to relocate with a small forward push. Seems ok now.

They are very difficult to replace when removed. I have mine off as I can't see out the back anyway due to having a canopy on the back. This gives me a little more room but when the canopy is off, the mirror needs to go back on. As you've said, hard to do.

I waited 6 months and if was worth it. Had a great weekend in Guilderton just driving around. All the kids loved it too. I had a good look around, in and under. I did find some rubber grommets under both front seats that had not been fitted into the bulkheads. Easy to push into place.
