Is there such a thing as a Land Rover built trailer? Perhaps a military production. I think it would be cool to tow one behinnd the Puma.:)

:)hi,i don't think land rover made trailors,i know the uk military ones had round towing eyes on them, and the land rovers had a nato tow hook .the trailors did shere the same size wheels though. mayby some of the millitary boys can shed a bit more light on the trailors ,regards .

Or a No.5, or a Haulmark, or any one of the many other variants.
There was a really nice condition Haulmark 750kg on ebay not that long ago.

AFAIK - Land Rover have never made a trailer. However, there have been some military trailers that use LR wheels. Google 'Sankey' and you should find plenty of details.
My personal favourite is the 'Rapier Carrier', they're mahoosive and tow really nicely behind a 110. You'd need to get a NATO tow hitch or a wide-jaw Dixon Bate to tow one though.

No. 5 have no drop down tailgate so limit their practicality, Haulmark are leaf suspension. Track is the pick I reckon but maybe I'm biased.

Ah ha! A No.5 trailer being utilised by "ze germans"
Note that I have swapped the springs to be under the axle as it was too high. While its a bit of a pain without a tailgate, I absolutely love this 40yo trailer. Extremely useful during a recent house move and numerous dump visits. Soon to include camping duties with a roof top tent fitted.
$400 smackers at the auctions - best money I have ever spent. (Just need matching MB hubs/wheels  )

Another man with taste.
Mind you, I wouldn't mind a 1250kg Haulmark and I would almost kill for one of the tandems made by Track.

I see the new Haulmark trailers that will be towed by the Gs nearly everyday as they're making them just around the corner from work. I should pop my head in and ask if they would sell to the public. The price would be shock I bet.

What about the Land Rover trailer with a driven axle . Who made that. Ran off the PTO drive.

As the previous posters have said, as far as I know, there have never been trailers made by Landrover (or its predecessors Leyland and Rover), but quite a few designed specifically for use with Landrovers.
One of these (Sankey, I believe) was sold (but not in Australia) by Rover dealers as an accessory for Series Landrovers, and actually is described in my Series 2a owner's manual.

They were for the RAF Regiment (BIL was a Rockape) too, up until maybe mid-to late 80s. After that I'm pretty sure towing duties were taken over by the good old 3-tonner, with LRs as support vehicles only.
