Hi all. I know the a/v screen change lags are notorious in the MY12 D4 but I was wondering if it is likely that there will be a software upgrade that improves things or is it something you just have to get used to?
I've read some threads that indicate there has been an improvement in the MY13s.

James, I expect you are talking about the reluctance of the screen to return back to the normal menu after you have reversed. This happens to mine sometimes but all other functions seem normal.
FYI I have removed the screen saver etc as I have read on the Disco D4 forum that it helps.
I have had on several occasions a white screen where the entertainment is still working and will only turn back to normal when the car has been shut down for over 10 min. I have had it back to the dealer for it but there were no codes, nor has there been a software update for the 2012 model.
Cheers, Graeme

I have both these issues in my MY12 SE - Reluctant to return to normal menu after reverse and about a 1 second delay before the touch screen changes after any command. Does deactivating the screen saver assist both these functions? It would be great if an upgrade becomes available.

Just to clarify, I don't believe my system is faulty as such. It's just that moving from screen to screen ie reacting to commands seems very slow. The camera engages seconds after reverse is selected. I hit the phone button and the pause between switching out of audio seems to take a long time. When the call is finished and return to audio screen is selected another pause. It gets there eventually and works when it does. It just seems the processor is lacking in grunt.
The salesman disabled my screensaver at hand over saying it was a pita so I've never had trouble with that.
It seems a trivial complaint, and it is, but the rest of the car is so good it's a bit irritating.
Cheers. J

Hello people
We too have a similar complaint with slow screens.
But can someone clarify on the screensaver. What is it?
Would that be the clock or the land rover logo.
Cheers
Steve
