I converted the old Pod that the HP palm computer fits in for the GPS (classic country) to suit my iPhone. Used a car charger plug and swapped over so the phone charges as well. Looks good and did not cost me a cent.

What your D2 got for Xmas? Not all that had been intended.

Had planned on - new ignition coils, new spark plug leads, new O2 sensors, new plugs, new fluids, new filters, new MAF.
However, due to logistics problems from supplier some essential items are yet to arrive.
Awaiting email from BSS to place order for Nanocom.
Plugs, MAF, filters, fluids ( engine oil, auto trans fluid, transfer box & differential oil + additives) on hand. O2 sensor tool set. MAF fitted, major improvement in responsiveness.
Was hoping to have all before Christmas as some boat towing duties are coming up.

Lp got the royal treatment albeit with a lot of elbow grease... a wash, vacume & polish - i've never seen it look so good LOL! :p ...

@ 1976_Michelle, how did you go fitting the front ones, did you remove the grab rails on the side and screw them back in and did you fit the head rest one? I'm looking at a pair SCA branded one but only for the front... or can anyone else add in put?

Thanks,
Lp

1976_michelle
28th December 2012, 11:28 AM
I took the first set I got back (headrest exposed) and replaced with a headrest covered one

Worst thing was that LR got all tarty with their seat covering, and where you used to be able to push your tie through from the front to the back where backrest meets seat - theres a solid flap there now you can't get through so thats one tie that you can't affix for a perfect fit

I can't add attachments in the post any more (guessing cost cutting with hosting) however photobucket is screwing me around too

Mine got/building:

New tailgate trim for Sub/Amp + shackle storage.
Kangaroo damage getting repaired ATM (incl new rad on the side).
New Saudi Spec Grille (part of above).
CDL lever (done).
New retuned ECU from Mark Adams.
Modded Panhard to realign front post lift.
Extended all breathers to manifold in engine bay then run line up snorkel.
Blue Tongue compressor fitted to engine bay.
Set of 4 GRP sand tracks (ones sold as bridging plates as well but thicker and less flex) really cheap and fit under the roof rails so basket is on top and empty for gear.

Michelle: those ties for the seat, remove the sides from the corners where the back and base meet and run them arund the sides. Still works ok. If you get one piece covers (incl headrests) then you can fit the rests inside the covers, pull down and carefully cut the holes for the grab handles and reassemble. Looks a million then.

That's the one. You know, the one I fitted aftermarket to improve the cooling. I'm sure I mentioned it sometime

It broke into so many pieces when hit there wasn't much left to identify, I mean worth keeping.

It's a pity when upgrades are insurance claim based isn't.

Today organised to have the oil coolers quick releases changed over to screw fittings today. Seemed another thing effected by skippy. Oh well.

Speaking if coolers, does anyone know what the "3rd cooler" could be. On the radiator where the tabs the engine (top) and auto (lower) cooler screw onto the sides there's another set in between that a cooler will fit onto. Do we know what this could have been?

walker
26th January 2013, 09:27 PM
There would be a cooler for the engine oil as well, wouldn't there?

Top one is engine, Bottom is auto. Plastic tabs in between will allow either to be fitted in the middle but cant see a reference to it anywhere.
