:twisted:Yes angry , I bought a xmas present for my partner on the 13th December on line , It was shipped same day to Vic from NSW it has been in Vic since the 14th december . Now numerous calls and emails which you can only do once on their website to raise a query to the courier have been made the last to day now i have kept my composure the whole time but to be hung up on today even when i senced the operator was about to hang up i said please dont hang up , now im real ****ed:twisted: !

This is a present that weigh,s 70 kg i have offered to pick it but been told pick up is not allowed  ,

Ok step 2 now i payed for insurance with a 3rd party , I have emailed them no answer so i rang today and am presently waiting for them to call back , They agreed i have been very paitent and waited too long .

My poor partner has had to wait for this imaginary crissy present that may not turn up , Now when i rang the couiers i asked to speak to a manager and was told they would say the same , I cannot email them anymore as my case is still open and their site does not allow me to , i ring and get some boffin that you can not get past , What do others think

ring again and ask for the manager regardless of whether they say you will get told the same thing.

Inform the manager that the service provided is not expectable and thet you have informed your insurance company and the department of fair trading..I would imagine they fall under this as they are still providing a service that is paid for.

have you spoken to the person you purchased it from just to let them know whats happening? they maybe able to give them a kick up the jacksey but also they may choose not to use this courier again as it brings bad business to them also.

make syr you document all your dealings down as well dates and times of phone calls and what was said and when they hung up on you etc

If you get no joy from the manager, tell him you are going to name & shame the company in your local paper, letters to the editor.[ talk to the editor first, put him in the picture. ] It works. Bob

If you paid by credit card and can get the present somewhere else call the credit card issuer and have the transaction canceled. They should do it straight away, I.e the retailer looses the money but it will take a week or so to be back on your card.

Retailers need to take responsibility for the courier companies they use.

It will depend on the courier company they used and your location in VIC.
I had a item which I purchased from the northern subs of Melb, I live in outer sth east. It took 10 days to travel 60 odd kms from one side of Metro Melb to the other side of Metro Melb.
The courier company class me outside their delivery zone by 4 kms. So they passed it on to a Victorian country courier which in turn passed it on the our local couriers. 10 days! The same item for the same cost could have gone overnight via an aus post express satchel

Go and knock on their door and put your case, they can't hang up then, Regards Frank.

there has been a BIG noise about a courier company in Brisbane doing exactly what has been mentioned, so you are not Robinson Crusoe:(. this might help in further action through the press?

Yea I would at that point go to the seller and claim non delivery and start wanting a refund. Not threir fault but it helps when both ends are applying pressure on the lack of courier services.

Don't forget to check the condition when it now arives as it my take the brunt of their displeasure at you actually expecting to get the service paid for.
