BOB BENDTSEN'S W24 CURRENT PROJECT

Here are some photos of Bob's current project. Regular readers will have seen my mentions of Bob and his business, Bendtsen's Transmissions, Transmission Adapters (http://www.transmissionadapters.com). This is a drag car using a '57 Chev body shell and two BMW V12's hooked together as a W24. Bob has not told me if it is his own car or paid work for a customer.

Trickt set up, nice to see someone building outside the usual set ups, front end looks nice too, will be interested to follow this thread right through to test and tune

Here are some more photos of the W24 car. Bob and his crew are very highly skilled people and also quite imaginative. They have built some wonderful things and like BIG engines.

Here are some photos of a '55 Chev Bob was building last year when I called on him. It uses an Italian multi OHC V12 specifically built for offshore racing. Check the doors. They have been converted from rear opening to front opening with the stock handles in the original positions and uses all standard Chev. hardware.

The rat rod uses a Seagrave V12 from a fire appliance. This engine was originally the Pierce-Arrow V12. Seagrave took it over on P-A's demise, added twin ignition and bunged it in their fire appliances. Must have been a hell of a good goer in passenger cars.

That's heck of an engineering feat. 24 cylinders.....you won't be able to leave that running while you fill it up, it'll gain on you!

The pictures certainly show what a high standard they're working to.

Yea your right Brian, there work looks nice, like the rear suspension too, the way it's connected to the 9 inch, the angles on the actuator mech would have taken some figuring, nice to see a shop with out too much fanfare around it, theres a lot to see in those photos, thanks
