As the credits started Mrs Pedro and I looked at one another and laughed.
WTF was the movie all about?
now I know what it was about(thanks to movie reviews),, but it failed miserably as a Bourne movie, it pretty much failed as an action movie. It didnt need subtitles it needed plot notes.
I give it 1 out of 5.
Avoid.

Definitely not up with the previous 3. Did leave the door open for another one. Not sure if that's a good thing or not.

And there were only three books, weren't there?

I enjoyed it.
As they mentioned many times in the movie, Bourne was the tip of the iceberg. There were many other programmes to produce a super spy/soldier/asassin.
Bourne used brainwashing. This one used chemicals.
I hope they do make another. Maybe expose the gene therapy side of Treadstone.

And there were only three books, weren't there?
Three written by Robert Ludlum before he died, and another ten by Eric Van Lustbader. To be fair though, with the exception of Bourne's backstory (found floating in the sea, amnesia etc) the movie storylines bear almost no relation to the books.

Just like most movies.

Thanks Pedro.
I've been tossing up whether I should have a look at this, but always felt fearful of destroying the aura that Bourne (Damon) creates.
I have the trilogy set and last week sat down for a Bourne movie marathon. Hey,....it was 40 deg. outside, on holidays and I wasn't going anywhere :p
Best lines of the trilogy......
Tom Cronin: He's making his first mistake.
Nicky: It's not a mistake. They don't make mistakes. They don't do random. There's always an objective. Always a target.
Pamela Landy: The objectives and targets always came from us. Who's giving them to him now?
Nicky: Scary version? He is.

I found it enjoyable enough, but I've got to agree - I got lost at one point too. It's not something I'm going to go out of my way to watch again.

The first 3 were all very good, I thought this one would be rubbish, marks out of ten, 5/6 I think like all new characters in a film it will take time to get used to, the second one should be better, now if he meets up with Bourne?
