thanks guys

I wouldnt be laying down any rubber unless you have the front shaft in the boot ready to re fit.

I've been told that there are lots of Range Rovers running the BW box... with a locked up VC who are a rear wheel drive.
Like mine.
I've been driving it gently over a year now, so a session on a dyno is not likely to kill your rear driveline ! :D

there will be no burnout trust me, our rear diff is a maxi drive center and maxi drive axles, also the trasfer is a defener unit in the old girl 1.4-1 what is the low range ratio

Got a spare ring and pinion???
Seriously though, it should be fine, just don't try towing in low range 2WD.

low range is 3.32-1, that is the only LR ratio for low range in the LT230. The only other option is if it has had MD gear sets fitted, which are either 30% or 49% lower. (2 options available)

Well the car went well no problems at all, she went from 80kw at the wheels to 110 it doesnt sound like much but tje tuner said it heaps for a car with 35's and the gear ratio.we have wont help kw's but it help tourque, it got 2111nm, tje flywheel powee should be about 300hpish and about 400nm, he also.said the engine was having breathing proplems after about 4800 because of manifold desigen and cam, it just a down low monster which is what we really wanted fot 4wding

We arnt 100% sure on the dif ratios and because he didnt want spin the baja claws up to 160 km in 4 so the converter is locked he had to tune in second, he is a good mate of ours and does all the local race cars and targa cars, so he knows his stuff, we dobt really car about a fly wheel figure, the car spins all four wheels wit diff locks in high range so it is good enough for us,
