Well, today the suggestion is being made seriously, for the US Mint to make a single US$ 1 Trillion coin and then deposit it against the national debt. It is, apparently, legal for their Treasury Sectretary to do so and it would get around the legal limitations which apply to "printing" paper money to do this.
Is this yet another type of Voodoo Economics ?

If they make it work then surely we can all be rich as .... selling anything for substantially more than it is worth (some of the vendors on carsales.com seem to have heard of this lark) :)
