My lh front airbag has deflated. How difficult a job is it to fit new bag or should I just replace strut and airbag unit? Jim

If you are going to keep the car, Personally I would use this as an opportunity to replace the strut as well and I would do both sides. How many km have those front struts done now? Our cars are at the stage in their life where some major consumables are coming to the end of their serviceable life - struts/shocks are one. Purchase from UK.
Unless you are preping it for sale....

Only took me a couple of hours to replace both sides on mine. Easier if you can get someone to help putting the new strut assembly in - bit of a bugger holding them in there and getting the first nut fitted up top to hold it.
Oh, and don't muck about doing just the bags, as mentioned, do the whole assembly. Got 2 new OEM struts (Delphi) delivered to my door in 4 days for under $900 for the pair.

Yes, they are pretty cheap if you shop around. I got well and truly hammered getting one once, luckily the customer was sympathetic, and he ordered the next one in himself. It's hard to make sure you aren't paying too much for your bits these days:mad::mad::mad: Even worse when you are trying to run a business...:(

I have had to settle for non genuine $880 plus fitting. Would love to do it myself but my medical problem stops it. I get aching muscled if I try too hard. Jim
