My cousin is in it.

Didn't show much of the Grunts (Infantry) on the ground.
I'm glad I don't have to "walk" anymore....:D

I loved it.
I was RAEME attached to artillery.
I followed these guys around in a wreaker.
It didnt show the cramped conditions in the back of the truck and sharing it with ready to use ammo.
When I was reserve the fall of shot computer was a large hand held device and was a bit secret instead of a large vehicle.
In my day the first of the women were coming though the system, so the swimming in the nude was out.
It didnt show digging in a gun in extreme heat either.
Two cans per man per happs was still on when it started and made all the hot hard work worth while.
At about that time our thoughs were changing from jungle warfare(Vietam) to the defence of Aust and the the way we did things showed this.
Now no troops ride in the back of gun tractors on public roads and our equiptment provides much protection from IEDs and desert conditions .

It is good to look back to see where we have come from.

The Bushmaster is worth its wait in gold... all 15 tonnes of it... :D
You don't get any beers on training exercises anymore... :( Only when you RTU at the Boozer

What a great little flick. brought back some good memories.I was a Grunt in the 70's, 8 , 8/9RAR for 5 years before i became a Recovery Mechanic actually carried a 7.62 BREN as I saw a quick glimps of a few , I think I had the same dance skills back then too.
