Soo this is what I keep busy with when not fiddlign around with the cars. I am a disabled artist. Used to paint, draw, airbrush etc before losing the ability to use ym right hand. I have since re learnt to paint with my left hand. I fight pain and uncooperative limbs the whole time. But i love it. I cannot do it like i used to, everything is a little mroe rough around the edges. It is funny how i cnanot write with my left hand to save my life. Started off painting figurines to look like friends and my own pets. then always wanted a spitfire painting so spontaneously decided i WAS goign to paint one. pretty proud i did it. painted a few since then. going to tackle some cars soon too! and my pano will have its mural painted on it eventually. i WILL do it! If my left hand gives up completely one day ill try with my feet, and then if they give up ill put paintbrush in my mouth or strap it to my arm or something.
Hope it is ok to put them in here.

great work...
I know some nutters who'd probably pay cash money for the one of the super hornet...
I also know someone who might be interested in offering you a comission job for some door art.

these are all the ones I have done so far :) I dont have a lot of my previous artwork before injury as I went through a bit of a tough time in the beginning and burnt pretty much everything I had ever done. Biggest regret of my life now. I wuold like to turn it into a bit of pocket money as I don't bring in a lot these days. Glad you all like them though :) Am trying to get an exhibition happening just need to do more paintings. I am keen for a possible commission job blknight.aus :)

Fantastic art and subject matter!
Regarding left/right handedness and picking up on your "i can't write with my left to save my life" comment; it is entirely possible to retrain with the non preferred hand, best place to start is in the mind though. I play guitar both left and right handed, and can write reasonably well with my non-preferred hand (right). It's a matter of being very calm and accepting; realising it takes years for the neural pathways to form and get stronger and that the attitudes themselves (I can/I can't) are also neural pathways that need attention in the process.
My father also retrained after losing alot of function in an accident and was successful.
IMO it starts in the mind/attitude; be really positive and take it easy - avoid regret and any negative thoughts! You certainly have the talent shining through none the less. All the brain and body needs is time and the absence of any negative attitude.

I do believe a landy will get immortalized on canvas before long :)
yeah haha been working on my left handed writing for 5 years now. some days better than others. still looks like a toddler wrote it. but actually resembles letters where as before it looked like scribble. it is the turtle who won the race after all :)
good stuff for your dad. i know the hurdles that are faced with loss of function so awesome news he retrained :)
