Hey, just in the process of trying to install a warrior winch for my next door neighbours 2007 defender. But the four mounting holes that ARB supply on their bull bar for winches does not suit the warrior winch. If I mount I the way warrior have designed it, it means the socket for the winch controller and gear handle are both facing towards the grill on the defender? Anyone else heard of this problem? Cheers Jamie

No idea on a Warrior winch but.....most you can undo the nuts and rotate the housing around the gearbox to suit.
Some cheapies you can't. Just make sure you don't mesh the gears, and it slides freely when you turn it.
You don't generally need to remove the cover to do this.

I went through the exact same thing when i installed my winch.
It seems most winches are designed to be mounted on a horizontal surface, but most bull bars have the mounting holes vertical (saves the manufacturer from having a massively reinforced horizontal steel plate between the chassis rails)
Most winches i have come across have the ability to rotate gearbox, like this ironman one...
http://www.media.ironman4x4.pl/files/pdf/winch_clutch_handle%20rotation_im.pdf - Dont know if thats any help at all??
as for the remote plug in? why need it, its got wireless doesn't it?

If you go onto YouTube and type installing warrior winch in a arb bar you will get a step by step instruction on how to do it
