TAV

T-he
A-ssault
V-ehicle

Something someone said to me with a Patrol, they said they want to move the Nissan on for a defender, when I asked why, he said because they look like an Urban Assault Vehicle. I just changed it a bit, don't want TAV to be known as an urban or a MetroVehicular Sexual. :) :) :)

I don't really take the naming too seriously, never named a vehicle before, unless I was calling it piece of ****e, son of a Bitch you get the drift.
Just thought a bit of fun with you guys. :)

My Henry welcomes your TAV.
It seems all Defenders have a name
Maybe it's just the style of vehicle
Don't forget the Defender wave
Hope you and TAV have years of fun together

I named him BERT (Bloody Excellent Rover Truck) but I decided eccentric might fit better after recent events. Another is ( British engineering rules Toyota)

I didn't think defenders started if the driver does not have a beard?

I always refer to people on this forum as "The Land Rover Beards" because I always imagine people of great mechanical wisdom to have bushy, plentiful beards that get scratched and stroked when considering the best answer to one of my many questions.

Babs, if you're out and about in Sydney and you see Monty, do give us a wave. As long as I see you (which I should because for some reason I can spot a defender out of the corner of my eye from a mile away), you'll get one from me.

I always believed that there is no such thing as a Defender owner. The Defender actualy owns you! Therefore it is not so much the driver growing the beard as the Defender growing the beard on it's driver.
(although I had my beard before my Defender owned me.......? Perhaps that is why I was selected to be a driver?!??)

This brings up a very interesting point with Defender women owners.

Baha ha, I'm cracking up reading all the posts here, very amusing :) :) :) love it.

Just shaved my beard, wife reckons I look like a terrorist with a beard, I have Italian heritage, but look like an Aarrab (American Redneck pronunciation) with a beard. I'll have to wait until I get a little more grey before I can look like Malcolm Douglas, he he.

Hey off topic, but you guys my age and older would probably remember the Cheech & Chong movie "Things are tough all over" where I think it was Chong who played the role of an Arab, gets out of airport and their hire car was a Datsun, he hates fricken Datsuns, and takes a knife to it, stabbing it. Funny shyte.

Maybe I should grow my beard back and my Defender will be too scared to break down Lol.
