we recently blew a small water hose on our 2003 td5, we replaced the hose and all is good (no leaks anywhere) it got a little hot a few times (losing a fair bit of coolant/water when getting back home to fix it and had to top it up a few times) but since i replaced the hose the radiator (fan) now continually keeps going. even cold when first starting cold engine. just keeps on going and never stops like it used to. anyone with any ideas as to why this is happening??? can i fix this easy enough without involving expensive mechanic to look at the problem? is not a huge problem but would like to get it back to normal again. any info would be appreciated. cheers mick.

The fan on the engine or is it an electric fan?

On the Disco2 TD5 at least, the electric fan is always on when the AC is on. The engine fan although not solidly connected always spins too, but not locked up like when you can hear it working.

Is it the radiator fan, which is the large viscous one, or the air con condensor fans?

I am pretty sure if it recorded an overheat the condensor fans are forced to come on continuosly to try and help, and need a fault code reset to turn them off.
