Hi Gents,

I did a search and Google and couldn't find anything.

Can you have the central locking auto lock on a SE D3?

I looked in the manual and it says you can but we do not have the premium sound on the car so the buttons on the steering wheel are only cruise control not volume etc as the manual shows.

I also can't get the options to actually come up on the screen.

any info appreciated

Hi Scary,
I have a 2009 SE I enabled the autolock by using the button on the end of the indicator stalk. Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Glenn

Thanks, can you tell me how?

When I push the button on the end with the car on it just cycles through the trip computer - how do I get to the settings?

Not 100% sure, but some of the features like this on the earlier D3 were stored in the seat memory unit. If you don't have it - you can't enable it.

Oh - and you can install the stereo control buttons on your steering wheel. All you need do is buy the buttons and be careful when removing the airbag.

A little off thread but where is the seat memory module located on the D4? I'm finding that the seat seems to be losing it's memory every now and again. Thought I'd check the connectors first.

There's an item for it in the settings menu. Press the 'i' on the end of the indicator stalk until you get 'SETTINGS' - the car has to be stopped to do this - ie, it'll show up at a traffic light but not when you're driving.

Use your |<< and >>| buttons to navigate through the options. If you don't have the buttons on the steering wheel, have you tried using the same buttons on the stereo head unit?

You may not have the ability to DIY but dealer can program inividual keys to enable it.
My wife likes it I hate it so our keys are programed differently.

ok so our SE has manual seats so I guess that is why we can't get into the settings menu.

I will try having the dealer do it at the next service.

Mainly for the wife and kids as some idiot tried to open the door when she was stopped at the lights to steal her handbag off the front seat.

Scary,
My D3 also has manual seats, I would sit in the car at home with key in the ignition & the owners handbook on your lap and follow the instructions, thats how I enabled the autolock but for this to function with both sets of keys you have to repeat the procedure with the second key in the ignition.

Regards,
Glenn.

I am going to gather that Scary & GlennS have two different stereo's also.

One has a 6 button stereo & the other has a 9 button stereo, from memory the nine button stereo allows you access into the settings & if you don't have the audio controls on the r/h/s of the steering wheel then no matter how hard you try it will not work.

Thanks - Now I can confirm I am not going insane!! Ha Ha.

So can it be done by the dealer?

Yes, the dealer can do it.

I had my SE (with manual seats) done by a dealer recently.
