My CM Valiant station wagon body is on a Patrol chassis that has had an enormous lift. Sorry, no photos. I last saw it driving around Sandgate about 5 years ago.

A bit like those XY Utes Ford put out for a short while ... odd, but strangely appealing.

The first body job on a 4wd that I saw, was an EH panel van on a ex mil S2A 109, it was done here in Cessnock by a local panel beater, it looked the ducks gutz, sadly no images, cheers Dennis

In Finland we have got street legal 1976 Ford Escort 4x4 with range rover chassis and engine.. Those were build in a good time.. Now our law deny those special build´s, inc RRC/Series hyprid´s..

Escort body would look lost on an RRC chassis, Suzuki would be the right size.
Somewhere near me is a VB-VH commonwhore cab on a hilux chassis .
Not sure if a conversion or not but i did see a late 80's Golf body raised with 4x4 running gear in Germany.

Interesting conversion.... The original vehicle would have to have been a Range Rover. A 1984 Vogue is my guess.. All UK rego numbers are age and area related.. 'A' = 83', 'H' = 90 etc etc... A few letters were not used like 'I' and 'Z' as these were in Northern Ireland, 'Q' was always reserved for things like imports, kit cars, crash repairs etc etc. This 'B' reg Jagrover would have been able to retain its donor vehicles number because it used enough of the original items. Chassis, axles, engine and trans were all big point scorers, body parts were not. The last two letters in that sequence of rego's were the county (like State). CJ and VJ were always Hereford/Worcester, UY and NP Shropshire I think.
It then all changed when they ran out of letters around 2000! Now they look like this:- 'KP 54 PBX' The first letters being the area, the numbers being the age (01 - Jan to April 2001, 51 - May to Dec 2001) or close to that! The last 3 letters are random I believe.
Before 1983, the earlier system was reversed.... CNP 369 B. would be a Shropshire vehicle produced in 1964 (I think... Bit old for me! That was my First Land Rovers Rego, a 64 Series 2A SWB). Hope this helps a few! :)
