Springs

A friend has just removed some near new, front, 30 mm lift springs from his 2002 Discovery 2.
The question is..... can I put them onto my 1997 300 tdi Discovery 1?

I'm 99 % sure they will fit but how they will work is another question, depends on engine, bar work etc.

if they are specific d2 front springs, they will not fit d1 as they have a locating pigtail on the bottom coil. this won't allow them to be fitted to d1 lower spring perch. to confirm, can you read off the spring part number and post it up, or take pics for us?

I have attached a photo of one of the springs. Couldn't find a part number!
The spring is 400mm high and 150 wide.

good, they are lra 'pink' code, perfect rate for a d1 with bar etc. they are a great quality spring, and yes they fit rrc and d1/2 etc.
they are 180 psi, and 16" free length.
