Gday All
Was at knotts crossing caravan park in Katherine last night and seen a gold D4 with a chrome Landrover bar on the front.
Anyone from here! Keen to know about the front bar.
Cheers Ean

Ean, how did the bar look in the flesh? The photos I have seen of it here didn't seem to show it in its best light....;)

It was dark but looked pretty good, I am more interested as it seems as tho it fits over the top of the front bumper and is moulded around it, and seems to follow more to the side of the car instead of just straight across the lights.

Who ever it was passed me this morning on the way to Darwin and I was doing 110 and he went past like a cyclone.

Would like to see it in some better light and talk to the owner more about it.

Cheers Ean

Had a good look at one at the dealer this afternoon (whilst waiting to cancel the order for my D4 ). Doesn't look like it will do much. It sits _very_ close to the bodywork. What's worse, the top bar has 2 brackets bolting it to the top of the plastic grille panel. That will work well when you hit a roo.
Cheers,

Yep it does happen, a friend ordered a new Prado and after 5 months and 2 wrong cars...not even the colour was right, he got a Landcruiser for a good price... not sure what that was, but he was happy.

Sadly it doesnt do Landrover any good as their reputation isnt the best to start with.

Hope he gets a good resolution.

I opted to wait when the 1st had options/features that I didn't want, even though I had already waited around 6 months.

Yeah, a bit more to it unfortunately. Don't want to say too much at this stage as it is still to be settled, but it looks like I'll be enjoying the D3 for a bit longer. I'll post the full story once the dust has settled and I can choose my words carefully.
Cheers,

Sorry Jon, I didn't mean to pry, only thinking that you had changed your mind perhaps for an interesting reason.

No need to apologise Graeme. No interesting reason, just the usual sad litany of late delivery, wrong spec and poor customer service. Tempted as I am to vent on here, its not appropriate at the moment. Maybe we need another trip to Orange and I can tell you about it over a beer.
Still want to get a D4, but will now wait a while and enjoy the D3 for a bit longer. May even wait for the MY14, supposed to be a major facelift on the way. Sounds like it may be worth a trip to Melbourne to see Pete for the next one.
Cheers,
Jon
