TD5 2001 Defender Door Lock Peg Bezel

This is a part that I am sure was made just to annoy landy owners. This damned bezel should have been made out of Aluminium or preferably SS! NOT weak arsed plastic...!

Anyway, I have been searching online an doing my head in looking for someone who makes these lil suckers in metal.............so far not so good.

So does anyone know if somebody is making the bezels in metal.

How did you catch / break the surround?
They are usually pretty sturdy!

You can get the actual door lock pin in alloy, but not the surround..

Would you believe from the bloody key ring!! My keys hang on a dog clip on my right hip, Got in the 130 an one of them (dunno which one) gets stuck as I climb up/in/shut door. SNAP! GRRRRRRRR!

Yeah I looked at CroyTec (http://www.croytec.co.uk/products.htm). May have to drop em a line an see what they can do. The whole latch bito really needs to be metal in my view, inside an out of the door.
