I don’t think the bulk of the firewall in 2mm, have just measured a 1950 most of the sheet metal appears to be around 1.3/4 mm painted, probably 18 gauge. Some fittings and the pad for the steering box are heavier. Measure a 49 if you like but sure they are the same.
