Check the turbo hoses for de-lamination, don't be fooled if they look okay on the outside :)
It's either getting too much fuel or not enough air :)

first thing I would check is blocked air filter element, then as above, condition of all intake system

Good Morning

have used my nancom this morning found these codes not sure what they should be

Config tune: STTDP007
Fuel Tune: STHDE 017

where can i find what setting should be?

They are just your fuel map identifiers...

You need to either:

Replace your hoses with Silicone ones

Or Your waste gate is jammed open / sticking

You should replace the hoses anyway :) Bet it fixes the problem

To add my voice to the chorus:

Replace your turbo hoses and check the air filter.

Have you checked with your Nanocom that your MAF is providing a reading?

Are you using oil?

Compression test through injector wholes and while your at I'd replace injector washers and o rings

How many km on the clock.

Cheers Matt

Hi matt

would my local LR dealer know how to fix that?

Maybe. do you mean the plug near the air cleaner it plugs into the cylinder with the box on it about the size of a matchbox. That is the MAF or Mass Air flow sensor. If that is unplugged and it stopped the smoke then replacing that is just the hose clamps. Do it yourself. Where are you? Someone close by might have a spare that they can lend you for diagnostics. Hope this helps I would steer clear of the stealer.... sorry meant dealer. They will charge a fortune for a MAF check EBay. Cheers Matt

If it is only a month old I'd take it back to where you got it. warranty replacement. I havent had a MAP issue so others might be able to guide better but. I recon if your smoke stopped after that was unplagged its not working.

not sure where to go next?

MAP?
Is that the same as the ambient air pressure (AAP) sensor?

Anyway whatever it is, if no smoke when disconnected, and smoke when connected, to two different good senors, then I would be looking for a cable/connector problem.:(

And what the other sensors are reading as well.

MAP/IAT sensor (manifold absolute pressure/intake air temp ) is mounted on the intake manifold.

Agreed re the wiring.

all senors are reading ok, maybe the ecu map could be the cause as it was second hand, as new one was not able to get at the time. it is not able to be programmed.

What is the part number on the ECU? It should start with MSB and will be on the outside of the case.

Do you have a sd card for the nanocom? If so it might be helpful if you record the fuelling inputs while taking it for a drive and post up the file.

cheers

When you say by a long way, do you mean it has stopped totally, or you still have some?
