View Full Version : Weird fuel tank issue

Since I came back from the Vic High Country, when my FL2 gets down to around 40kms range left in the tank, it becomes harder to start and cranks over longer. Also, when I fill it up now from that point it takes around 70 litres of fuel. Before, I could never fit more than 62-63 litres in it. I have tested this at 3 different garages because I thought the first one was ripping me off. I didn't think the tank could hold 70 litres. It took a few hits underneath down in the high country but nothing that seemed serious. Still drives nice. Any ideas?

the landrover tank capacity is the advertised usable capacity within the design range of the vehicles operation which means it will still supply fuel on a 60/40 slope range.

if you're on the flat you have a few more liters up your sleeve and thats what you've started using. The computer is adjusting to your driving and using the extra liters so its adjusted.

Thanks for the reply but I don't quite understand? I've done nearly 150k kms and never put more than 65litres in the tank before. I've let it run down to 5kms range in the past where it goes to limp mode. Now it starts starving for fuel at start up and taking up to 71 litres at the pump. The tank is 68 litres according to the stats. With 40kms range left, I should have 3-4 litres in the tank. I wonder how much I really have and why its changed?
