Poll Results For The "Show Us" Section Announced

Please Read Below Before Voting

There are a number of rules relating to the "Show Us" section which is up in the 'Stickys' section at the top of the D3/4/RRS section for those that are not aware.

Basically the existing rules say members can not comment or ask questions relating to other members pictures of their D3/4/RRS's. What this means is it is meant to be a pictures only section.

Personally I have been pushing behind the scenes for sometime to allow relevant comments and questions to be able to be asked relating to members vehicle pictures in the "Show Us" section. Right now what happens usually is comments are being deleted once a month or so.

However my opinion on this is just that an opinion and I respect that others, possibly even the majority, may see it differently.

So it was decided in the Mods section that the best way to sort this out was to put up a poll and allow D3/4//RRS members to vote if they want the original rules to be enforced where no comments are allowed in the "Show Us" section or if members wanted a change to allow relevant comments relating to the pictures of the their and other members vehicles.

Here is a chance for D3/4/RRS owners to decide which way they would like the D3/4/RRS "Show Us Your Vehicle" section to be run, so please vote one way or the other.

Blanket no comments prevents off-topic comments but relevant comments can be informative or even just complimentary.

That is the idea Graeme to allow relevant comments.

If the vote goes the way of changing the rules in the D3/4/RRS Show Us Your Vehicle section to allow relevant comments, then to keep it workable, they will need to be restricted to comments only relating to the members vehicles.

Hey Terry,

I posted a photo of my D4 bogged in this section (as in 'Show Us') of the website and then it appeared in the normal D4 area.

Did I finger fudge or did it get moved cause D4s aren't supposed to get bogged?.....:wasntme:

Sorry have no idea why your photo turned up somewhere else ...it wasn't due to the second bottle of red you had just finished before you tried to put the happy snap up was it? ....;)

Ok ladies and gentlemen,

The poll on whether we kept the 'Show Us Your vehicle' rules as the original rules were written with no comments or a change to allow relevant comments relating to the members pictures of their vehicles is now closed.

The results were roughly 80% in favour of changing the rules to allow relevant comments which means the change will be adopted.

The guidelines for that section of the forum will be rewritten in due course but for now just continue on as it has been run for several months.
