I have the "vision assist" package on my D4. I got this because I valued the surround cameras with Tow Assist.

The instructional video (CLICK HERE TO VIEW) (http://www.landrover.com/au/en/lr/owners/instructional-videos/discovery4/) talks about "target tracking stickers". I often have to reverse a very long caravan and a 24' boat down a long driveway with a corner. The more accuracy I get the better and it seems like the target tracking stickers will help.

However, my sales rep had little idea about them and the LR parts department doesn't even have them in stock. I certianly didn't get one with the car (it should be included I think).

Has anyone used Tow Assist with the target tracking stickers? I'd like to know if I am wasting my time tracking down these stickers..

PS How good is the reversing camera when hitching on a trailer!! The "hitch zoom" function is brillliant!!

DD, google for Land Rover part LR021589. You'll find it cheap and easy enough to get.

They should have come with the car, I've seen new cars arrive with them in the glovebox.

Land Rover have the above part number in stock so tell your selling dealer to get one in for you. It'll cost them less than $15 for the sticker.

I have the sticker affixed to my Kimberley off road trailer.
LD set it all up for me but not sure that it helps other than guidelines etc when reversing.
The camera is excellent for connecting and recommend that but long trailer reversing, go with an assistant IMO.

Thanks rodjam,
It will be interesting to see if it makes any difference when I do get them.

SBD4 - I'll have another crack at that. I tried yesterday to google them and I did find them but had shipping problems (would not ship internationally). I have more time today to try some more. Otherwise I'll follow Scott's advice and go back to LR.

It is part of the vehicle & should be given to you at handover.

I actually place them behind the books in the lower glovebox area & have advised the detailers not to discard them. I have now found a few have been "accidentally" placed on a cabinet!!

Don't pay for it !

Is there a hitch zoom feature on the standard reversing camera set up (not the vision assist package)?

Now zoom would be great.
That said, have a few tries with the camera once set up and line up the gaps between the red warning rectangles and all will be good.
I can, after lots of practice, reverse onto the treg with a 1" horizontal gap get out and adjust the height ( that's the hard part) and then reverse home.
And drop the pin.
Would not have thought it possible months ago.
Try it.

There is nothing paticularly special about the sticker with the reversing target. I paid for one and keep it safe as my proof edition. For the various trailers I have photocopied the original and laminated the copy before fixing to the trailer and in for one cage trailer I have protected it with clear perspex. I find the trailer tracking useful for backing up a long distance nice and straight.

So my advice is to buy one and the rest are (almost) free or someone with a scanner could send you a printable file. I can't see there being any copyright issue with three black circles on a white background. Pretty unlikely anyone could claim to own that image.
