That isn't good, sorry to hear :(

Hope it is an isolated incident, VW are a very concientious manufacturer.

Mine just got a new engine.
After 8 weeks of it being in the dealer and 500km later the tailshaft fell off.

VW are discussing buying it back off me. The dealer is a clown. Passion fingers comes to mind.

Oh dear. VW aren't having a good run of late.
The fellow at the end of my street is trying to sell his. A Passat I think. No bites. Seems all the word of mouth about engine and transmission failures are to blame.
I hope they get all the recalls and poor customer service fixed soon.

Same here Mick, we have had hardly any calls on our passat that is up for sale, its such a nice car, and its not affected by any of the dramas the others have had, its just bad publicity that's made it hard to sell now. Guess we'll just keep it and trade it on a new work car.
I've had 3 late model vw's now, and not one drama, besides the injector recall on the passat which was no big deal. Unlike my other new cars I've purchased, problems with them all.:(

Yep me three trying to sell one.

I don't want to pay the rego in Feb, think I'll just send the whole thing off to the auctions and wear the loss.

Today VW aust offered me a buy out figure.

Amarok cost me $60k. It's 2 years old. Has 80k on the speedo and is undrivable due to a dealer stupidity.

$17k

My reply. Fix the thing properly !!!! It is getting shipped to another dealer.

They should be either fixing it properly, or replacing it!
