It's common practice at home and in the UK to put the diff lock lever into neutral when you park up for the night. Many's the thief that's been caught red handed in the seat of someone else's defender in their driveway, frantically going through all gears like there's no tomorrow, trying to make their getaway. :)

Thank our deities we don't have the theft problem of Deefers here you/they have over there.

It's a good idea too, if only I could trust the h/brake. :D

The likelihood of it going missing is small, but the people who are most likely to steal a car are those who are also most likely to be stealing an old Landy ;)
