Afternoon all,
I recently had a Kaymar bar and spare wheel carrier fitted to my D4. Unfortunately ARB didn't move the spare themselves and so it was left to me to discover that, upon moving my stock 19" spare onto the holder, the entire right hand rear light post is blocked from view.
I assume at least one other person out there in AULRO land has has a Kaymar + Spare Wheel carrier fitted to a D4 with 19" or larger rims. If you do could you please confirm that the spare does not obstruct the right rear light post?
My initial thoughts are that someone sent the wrong wheel carrier attachment.

I think you will find any wheel that fits your D4 will be the same.
The Kaymar bar has lights in the lower section for this reason. I did make an add on light that runs from the trailer plug for the R/H side.

Hi Brad
Mine is the same, someone commented when they where following the other day, they could see the indicators on the bar though.
If you got the wrong one, I did too.

The wheel is further to the right than on a single RWC bolted to the existing bumper because the Kaymar allows for 2 spares.

When I do a bit of googling most images appear to show the lights unobstructed. However, these images are always from an oblique angle.
The following shows obstruction on a D3:

The same vehicle with an "oblique" picture of the type used on the Kaymar site:

So it looks like I'll have to live with it. Thanks everyone for the advice :)

Tim size has no bearing on wheel size (overall)
The Kaymar has lights in bumper because of the coverage of the tail cluster.
Don't panic :)

Hi Guys,
Sorry, slight of topic but relevant to the rear bar in question.
Has anyone fitted their own bar?
I received mine and fitted it myself and found the top right bolt hole only is out and there is very little flex to align it.
Regards
Gerald

You need to loosen other bolts to get that one in;)
