Guys,

Please watch this :

Auvergne 2013 - YouTube (http://youtu.be/kBPBmMdur8s)

It's our 1st RangeRoverP38.com Bulletin board meeting in France (Auvergne)

23 cars and owners met (not enough compared to the 784 members of the board)

Not the Croisiere Blanche but lots of fun.

What a great landy.

Hi Florent,
We can only wish to have this many P38's at once. Awesome looking event!
Looks like a lot of well setup vehicles, well done!
Keep us informed of any future meets, wish I was there.
Just postponed our first P38 Get Together which was planned for last weekend (Australia Day Long Weekend) due to extremely hot weather & many bushfires in area we had planned to visit. BUMMER:(
Anyway I'm sure we will soon make up for it!
Best wishes, Martin

PS would love for you to do a post on some of the mods some of your members have done to their P38 with detailed photo's if possible.

Ahhh. bonjour!!!!! From our French connection. Some very nice P38's, will have to come and visit next time I go to visit my relatives in Mannheim Germany. France is only a short 45 mins drive to the border, seeing that it is illegal to go off-roading in Germany, looks like France is the place be.

Great stuff from the Men in Black (mostly!) P38s:eek::D Some interesting bits and pieces attached to bonnet/hood. Obviously in your climate, a large winch assembly in front of the radiator airflow isn't going to be much of a problem... indeed it probably assists... bit different here with ambient remp arounfd 35 -> 40+ deg C in summer:eek: Glad to see you all having fun...way it should be!

Wow, look great! Looks like you'ze had a great time. I've never driven in snow....

There a few winches there, i'm wondering if you would know how they are bolted on.

A good collection of pictures compiled into the video. It looks like you all enjoyed the outing! Where I live in Perth it is unusual to see frost on the car in the middle of winter let alone snow. We do however have some great sand hills that from a distance look a bit like snow covered mountains :D.
I also noticed there are several varieties of winch mounts on the cars, like benji mentioned how are they mounted? Especially the ones that appear to be mounted behind the standard bumper?

The orange winches "team" are bolted on a front hitch receiver that goes over the bumper.
IMHO it's a bit weak for difficult winching but it's better than nothing.

Then there's 2 grey P38 "baroud land" with discrete winch mounts behind the bumper and between the frame rails.

I didn't get chance to install my winch in my steel bumper but i don't need a winch, i had sand ladders that helped me a lot in the snow:twisted:
