Would the ARB winch bar on my Tdi 130 go straight onto a new one? Not that I'm thinking of getting a new one...

maybe. The Tdci has the grill extended about 2" all up. All depends how close the Tdi is to the grill. But the way they mount on the pig irons is the same.

Yeah, thanks Jason. I've had that bullbar on three Defenders so far. One of those was a Td5 which has the same extended grille as a Tdci (the same as far as I know - I'm no Tdci expert). On that one I needed to use little extension brackets. I still have those so they might just come in handy again.

yes a mates Td5 has those extension brackets of a standard LR bar. Which I think was suppled by ARB anyway.
I noticed it sits about 2" much higher than my TJM. But mine doesn't use those mounting brackets.
I have an older ARB here which sits out far enough to accommodate the extended grill, but it sits lower them my TJM.
all irrelevant perhaps pending on it's calling, but also all a game of inches as well.

I just had an ARB bullbar fitted on my puma, the bullbar is from a 94 defender.
