My 1999 D2 td5 auto has just started to give a shudder when taking off at the lights, usually when turning. eg. turning right or left at an intersection.
I hope it may be caused by low oil level in the gearbox.
Has anyone experienced this and am I on the right track?
It does not do it all the time.
Any help would be welcome.
Regards Nick.

Get it checked straight away. Go to a good auto specialist.

I had a similar issue and topped the fluid up, which made the symptom disappear. Unsure if there is a larger issue at play, but it's not doing it any more. Suggest a full synthetic fluid.

Have not knocked 4wd centre diff lock over accidentally. Seems strange only does it when turning.

Have had the Disco into Hunter & Cutthill here in Geelong. Turned out to be the rh front brake caliper not working (seized up pistons).
All going well again. Thanks to all who commented.

Interesting... Mine doesn't shudder, but the Driver's side brake pad has worn 3 times faster than the passenger due to a sticky caliper. Need to get it sorted fairly quickly before I have to get another set of pads. Haha
