Ladies and Gents,
I have been putting off drilling and screwing my P3 electric brake controller in my D4 and have been using velcro to try work out the best place to put it. Can people help me out with some pictures and commentary on where they have placed theirs. The vent under the steering wheel obviously offers another obstacle in the D4. Thanks in advance.

Try this link. I found it helpful.

I made up a bracket that fixed under the lower dashboard panel so the controller was just above my left knee. No drill holes visible.

I tow my boat every second weekend or so and the last thing I want is the P3 mounted permanently. I had the wiring run up the side of the dash near the door and it pokes out on top of the dash, but is very hard to notice. I modified a suction cup phone holder to fit the unit and it works like a treat. When the boat comes off, so does the unit and is left out of sight from thieves.

Flotty,
here is where mine is mounted. It lives there all the time and we have no problem with it there.

Same here and the override lever is quite reachable and easy to find. We take ours out of the bracket when not in use. Can recall hitting my knee on the bracket or unit. A couple of screws into the trim is not really noticeabledown there.
