hi all i was just wondering if anyone on here has used C.E.M products at all i saw their ad in one or the 4x4 trader mags when i was looking for a landy they claim their product will clean out all the gunk and carbon from the inside of the engine, i sent them an email and their reply says that up to three litres more liquid will come out when you drain it off, if it does what it says it will it means that blocked lifters will unblock etc, they say it will quieten down rattley engines especially if you use a protective addative when you refill with new oil i have always used Bi-tron for this and had good results but the idea of getting all the gunk out first appeals to me, your views appreciated.

I have a friend who is a mobile mechanic and is very respected. His POV on any additive is if you want better oil in your engine change it more often.....it will always be cheaper than adding additives. He will not put any additive in any of his customers engines unless they positively demand it. The military have thrashed all of the additives to try and prove their effectiveness but I dont think they ever use any. As far as I still know Mobil Jet 2 is the standard ADF aircraft turbine oil and it hasnt been changed in 40 yrs. I am always open to corrections by more learned gentlemen.
the oil has been changed of course.....I dont think the formula has....
