When I have bought replacement door locks from the UK, they come without the black plastic coating on the handle. Up till now I havnt worried about it but was wondering if anyone has come up with a way to do it.
Having just put Red-Kote in a tank it seems as if it might do it OK but wrong colour.
What was the PVC glue one? Would it work as a handle dip with some black pigment added?

Hi Keith,

I seem to remember reading an article on this - may have been on the Series 2 UK forum. The handles were redipped in rubber.

Found this with Google:
54.5 SW rolling [Archive] - Land Rover UK Forums (http://forum.landrovernet.com/archive/index.php/t-32943.html)

Went through all the door handles, along with re-dipping the rubberized coating.
