Hunting through ebay I found a series one sales brochure for the ''new 54 model landys''. thought thats cool, but it had twelve bids and a price of $70 . Didnt need it that bad so hunted on. After 3 or 4 pages I came across two more, they had a buynow price of $9 the other $11 inc postage. After comparing all three, all said ''genuine'' ''as new'' and ''dated 1954'' the scottish blood bought the $9 one. The purchase went well and an envelope turned up in the mail. It was duly opened and admired, my wife even passed comment that it smelled like it was old paper and it did look new. So all was happy untill my mate came round, he looked at it held it up to the light and promply announced ''Its a fake look here''. There it was, a water mark in the paper, ''Conservation'' and the recycle triangle underneath it. Both of us agreed that the recycle triangle or conservation wouldnt have been around in 1954. :censored:I said, never mind , for the price its still good to look at. I hope the person that payed $70 for one got the real deal .
