Does anyone know the switching temps for the Td5 auto trans temp warning light?

Not sure on the specific temperature, but from what I have read and experienced, it's very very high - way higher than it should be.
I have got my ATF temperature to around 150*C which is far hotter than it should go and nearing the point that internal damage will occur (according to Ashcrofts), and the light still hasn't come on.
From what I have read, once the light comes on, it's pretty much too late as you would have already cooked it. While it still might operate afterwards, reliability and longativity are severely compromised.

I did read the specs somewhere, just cant find them now
I know the switches are prone to failure and water ingress effects the connector, had mine fill with water on the weekend, which set off the light.

While I can't confirm the factory settings limit, a recent experience saw my auto temp light on my dash illuminate at approx 150 deg c or so it read on my EMS.
Not confident that my auto will last a great deal longer..... 280,000kms and counting... down

Don't know the temps either, but from my experiences, if you see that light on then your transmission is on that slippery slide.

Mine came on a couple of months ago, and wouldnt go off. Turned out to be a wire had rubbed through on the chsassis underneath the radiator and was shorting it out. Cleaned and taped up, been good as gold since.
