TCIS insurance quoter is asking this question.

Is your vehicle is fitted with a PASSIVE ARMING IMMOBILISER which disables the fuel pump, ignition and starter motor?
(passive arming immobiliser means the system automatically sets itself upon removal of the ignition key)

I have a 2009 D3 TDV6 SE. Does anyone know the answer to this question?

Yep, I just got a quote from them, expensive and as far as I can see it is just a stock standard Allianz prestige policy, not a custom 4x4 policy. My current broker can offer me the same policy cheaper.

Will see what Shannon's can do.

Actually maybe that's a but unfair, it is agreed value including accessories, and is specifically states no geographic limitations and that beach driving and water crossings are allowed. This may apply to other policies as well, but it is nice to have it spelled out.

What is a 4x4 policy? I have the standard Allianz policy on my RRS with agreed value and it is covered for anywhere in Aust and for any non competitive legal activity. Whats more, the policy was far cheaper than anyone else and far, far cheaper than Shannons - also no massive premium increase on renewal.

Obviously depends on your own circumstances.
