Any body doing the Odyssey this weekend

Hi guys, anyone tackling the Odyssey this weekend.
I've done the 100 the last four times .
Just doing the 50 this year as I'm off to a do in the evening after the race and have to get on the ****. ( someone has to take one for the team)

I'm doing the 50.
It's my first time at any mountain bike event any tips?

Fifty wont be too bad,

Dont flog your self stupid at the start as there is a bit of up hill to do. The single track will be a blast.

Biggest problem with that is the roadies tend to go like a bull in a china shop , but then cant keep that up in the single track, and you get stuck behind them.

Its going to be about 30 degrees I think so stick some electrolite in your drink.

Have fun, keep your eye out for a guy on a white , red and black Anthem X 29er and wearing a black MTB Skills top , fair chance it will be me, say gday
