we are moving out after 30 years and have spent a week infront of the shredder.
found this article I typed out for the LROCV magazine (my typeing hasnt improved) following one of the early Field days. mid 1980's

You know 30 years on - I still think Bills 6x6 is one of the worlds best modified LandRovers, nothing comes close in my mind.

(excuse my poetic licence - I was a mere whippersnapper then)
not sure what the scribbling in blue pertains to, but not Bills 6x6

Thanks - I used to have a copy of that video, but lost it due to a failed hard drive.

No I doubt he would have it,
I'll make a point of going to say hello & goodbye to Bill & take the original with me. Heading out in 2 weeks for a year or so on the road, doubt we will end up back in Vic.

It would be amazing to see more of Bills work, anybody have any pics/literature etc...

I know it is an odd question, but where do you learn how to design and make that?

Many years in the backyard, out in the shed, and dragging the welder into the paddock where you last broke the poor old thing most likely. A fair bit of machining know how and access to some decent spec machine tools would go a long way...I think in Bill's case his imagination, skills and knowledge were well matched!

I think his sixby is my favourite Landy too

I think Bill said parts of it still reside in his paddock, he mainly uses the super flexi 4x4 now. Apparently some ratbags broke into his property and stole a whole lot of his parts stash/wrecks for scrap, a couple of tonnes of it.
He might have said there was enough bits to make anther 6x6 but didn't have the energy or tools to make it happen again these days.
