G'day members,
The time has come to install my snorkel, but I have a few questions?
How to remove air intake grill?
Removal of wheel arch and liner?
Removal of a pillar trim?
Any info on these technical areas would be most appreciated!
Cheers Billy

Hi Billy,
Q) How to remove air intake grill?
A) Pull on it!
Q) Removal of wheel arch and liner?
A) i) Turn steering wheel to hard right (or take wheel off altogether, which I found easiest and put on a stand. ii) If you have a mudflap - take it off. iii) There are two screws at either end of the arch - undo them. iv) Pull arch off. v) Undo plastic clips on inner wheel liner and pull liner out. (Hint: mark the holes with chalk so you know where they go).
Q) Removal of a pillar trim?
A) Pull it off - starting at the base. There are about 4 clips which hold it in place.
I did put a few photos here, when I did my install:

P.S. Good luck on getting the top rear nut done up in the guard. Even my noodle-armed wife had troubles. The scars have since healed on my forearms! :D

You will see an obscure reference in the instructions, to leaving the centre inner guard retaining plug out, and taping over the hole. Read this carefully. If you push this plug in once the snorkel hose is installed, you will punch a hole through it. Get a torch and check the holes in the inner guard before refitting the plastic panel. You can actually see the snorkel tube sitting across one of the holes.
Use a step drill for the holes on the bodywork.

I installed a snorkel on our last vehicle and also found the step drill brilliant.
Quite reasonably priced too.
Cheers
