Hi collected wisdom.
I want to get a tow ball and tongue for my discovery 4. The land rover part (RAA560) seems to be around $300- $660 depending on which dealer you speak to. At $300 its probably not bad, but still more expensive than a generic from roof rack world at around $200. Any suggestions, or reason to go genuine?
thanks
Christian

$250 plenty in stock. (MLR)

Reasons to buy Gen LR....
Warranty, the tongue was designed & tested for the hitch.
Possibly insurance reasons!? Not really sure on this one, but a possibility.

Cheers

Thanks Guys,
Pays to ring around. My dealer parts department quotes a great price, rather than the price my 'customer relations manager' quoted me!

From land rover melbourne: LR019990 which usually cost's $574. But may do a bit cheaper.

That's the expensive bit, but comes standard with the D4 vehicle.

Unless you have a D3 & want to upgrade! ? ! ?

Pete, is that $250 for the hitch & tongue ? I may have thrown my UK one in the bin yesterday after discovering the locking mechanism to be shafted. Not what you need when sat at a servo with a rental car trailer to collect

Pretty sure I'm dreaming for the whole lot to be $250....the receivers alone appear to be $400 from the good old US of A.
