Hi Guys
I have to get some gear over from England for my series 2a and was wondering if anyone knows anything about these snorkels from Lr Centre Ltd I could put onto the Tardis. At about $90.00 + freight (58.33 gbp) it would be interesting to have a look at one.

Hi Ian,
How about a group buy. I would be interested in one if you can get one for the left side.
Cheers Jeff
PS. have you got that Series 1 yet?

The snorkel looks like either a Safari, or a Safari clone.
If you simply want to raise the air intake it will be fine...
Looks like lots of jubilee clamps though if you want it waterproof!

I have one of these and it does the job, they seem to be copies of the safari ones just a lot cheaper. I don't understand how you could fit one without a few jubilees?
I bought two and transported them back to South Africa (where I was living at the time) in my hold luggage along with a Halfords socket set!
In SA at the time a safari snorkel would have cost me 5 times this price and was able to sell one for 3 time what I had paid. Result!
My vehicle is a TD5

Hi Jeff, how you been
Get on their website, Land Rover Spares, Range Rover Parts & Accessories | LR Parts (http://www.lrparts.net) and have a look, they have quite a bit of stuff there. And no, I sold smeg (s3) as my boy got his grandmothers old car and the wife wont let me get a S1 until Ralph is completed. Hopefully summer is over and I can get back into it shortly. If you find you can get what you need, let me know and I can get it sent here and forward it up to you. As for the hose clamps, 1 is for the head unit so that only leaves 2 for the body and you could always seal the join first with a good sealer. eg Sikaflex etc.I must be converting her though as she saw a couple of Deefers from Canungra Army barracks at Nerang shops the other day and she and little SWMBO asked the boys in green what models they were (There is hope for her yet):D
Might be passing though your way in June, If we do I'll let you know.
.Will do Muddy, I've sent them an email to see what they say on freight etc.
Cheers mate

Beware cheep Chinese plastics use in a lot of these apparent "bargin" snorkels.
Just because you are Importing them from the UK doesn't mean they were made there !
At about $320 delivered for genuine Safari, is it worth the risk ????
