Hi Guys

I've a GME TX3100 with what was an AE4012 477 MHz antenna mounted to my bulbar ... some kids have just snapped it off ... :censored:

Now, is this a good opportunity to get a better antenna with a bigger range or do I need to stick with the same size? (obviously ... I know nothing about UHF radios)

What's my best "bang for buck" option?

Thanks

Craig

Get one that suits your use of your UHF :)
Personally I quite like the pack with the booster and the different screw on whips, so you can have a whip for long distance highway type use, and one for hilly terrain.
It's always rubbish when cheeky little bastards mess with your pride and joy :censored:

I went to supercheap Penrith and got mine in a pack with the long range and mountains type aerials as a kit for about $120 which isn't to bad in my opinion

The ones at supercheap are generally aeropro, which aren't too bad.
The same kit in genuine GME form is only about $10 extra :)
