I'm in need of an over jacket and was wondering if anybody here knows what type/make the high visibility police jackets are?

You can pick up ex police ones from the UK pretty cheaply on ebay.hi vis jacket ex police | eBay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=hi+vis+jacket+ex+police&_sacat=0&_from=R40)

ACE make a fair range. The Combo is great and what we use. Look for a work supply store.

get a 4 in 1 Husky hi-vis jacket. You get them in decent workwear shops and it has different options in the same jacket like a rain coat, then pull the inner out and its a bomber jacket then pull the sleeves off and its a vest or have them all together for a super warm and waterproof coat.
I used them at work and its superb!

I just ordered one of the ex UK police rain coats. Should be handy.
Question though - am I likely to get myself in trouble wearing one airside at MEL/SYD airports? Given that it has the police band on it...

You'll be shot first.
I have only recently retired my old dri rider jacket that served me for 15 years and replaced it with a Rivet brand jacket, the rivey has a removable thermal liner as well as back /shoulder/elbow armour inserts.
The only complaint i have is the wrists arent adjustable like the old dri rider was with velcro which made a nice snug fit and allowed the gloves the fit over nicely.
Its actually a little too good for what i need as i dont ride daily like i used to so will probably move it at some stage.

Ooo, I can see me getting into trouble if I get one of those jackets.
I ride an ex-police RT1200 and I have a white helmet. I already get cars slowing down when they see me in their rearview mirror.
If I get an ex UK police jacket with the livery still on it, think of the fun I could have.:wasntme:
