Hi all,

Just got my defender, so just for the record, this is what it looks like clean...

I had a go at washing it myself, and trying to get rid of that red dust tinge, but after 2 days of trying i gave up an handed over to a professional. Here are the impressive results. For those interested in who i took it too, i have put a post in the recommended supplies, which in hindsight is not the place to post it, as he is not a supplier. SORRY

I have always used a tyre cleaner.

Looks really good.

I used to get cars cleaned professionally before I used to sell them privately as you got a lot more back when you sold it that the cost of the clean. Also made the sell quicker.

Something like this would be $250ish, this included engine bay detail, exterior(wash, buff, wax and due to the dust stain, acid wash), and basic interior clean and protection. I was not really fussed about the interior other then the front.

He does prices on a per job bases, so it may be more, or may be less depending on what you want. I found him to be cheap compared to other quotes i got.

Just give him a call, i am sure he will look after you.
